1. Submission Policy and Symposium Format
No. Standalone abstract submissions are strictly not accepted or reviewed. AED accepts only complete full papers. Authors must prepare and submit the entire manuscript using the official AED Full Paper Template. The normal abstract section contained within the full paper is part of the manuscript and is not a separate abstract submission. AED welcomes original theoretical, experimental, computational, applied, and interdisciplinary research across engineering and related fields. 2. Participation Eligibility and Special Sessions
Academics, researchers, engineers, professionals, doctoral and master’s students, undergraduate students conducting scientific research, independent researchers, and representatives of public or private organizations may participate. Yes. Independent researchers and qualified professionals may submit original work. An unaffiliated author may state the affiliation as “Independent Researcher, Country,” provided that all other submission and ethical requirements are satisfied. Attendance without a manuscript may be possible if a visitor or non-presenting participant category is officially announced. The organizing committee may consider well-developed proposals that fit the scope of AED. A proposal should be sent to aed@alanyauniversity.edu.tr with its title, rationale, proposed speakers, and expected academic contribution. Approval is not automatic. 3. Full-Paper Preparation and Technical Requirements
Yes. A complete full paper is mandatory for authors who wish to present their research and have it considered for publication. Presentation-only participation based on a standalone summary is not accepted. For more information and official updates, please refer to the AED symposium homepage.
Prepare the complete manuscript in Microsoft Word using the official AED Full Paper Template and send it to aed@alanyauniversity.edu.tr. Tables, figures, references, and all other components must remain within the prescribed template requirements. No manuscript should exceed the prescribed limit without prior written authorization from the symposium secretariat. Yes. All formatting requirements—including layout, fonts, font sizes, headings, spacing, margins, tables, figures, and references—must follow the official template exactly. The number of authors must be academically justified by genuine contributions to the study. Every listed author must satisfy accepted authorship criteria, approve the manuscript, and accept responsibility for the work. Yes, provided that each submission is an original and distinct scholarly work and each paper independently satisfies all submission, review, registration, and presentation requirements. 4. Peer Review and Manuscript Updates
Each complete paper is evaluated for scope, originality, methodological quality, clarity, ethical compliance, and contribution. Review begins after a complete and properly formatted full paper is received. Each eligible manuscript is reviewed by at least two expert referees. The AED review required for acceptance occurs before the paper is placed in the final program. If a selected paper is later recommended to a journal or book, that publication will conduct its own independent editorial evaluation and peer review. Yes. The corresponding author should email the corrected full paper and clearly state the manuscript number, complete title, and requested correction. Use the final approved title consistently in the revised manuscript, registration information, presentation slides, and all correspondence. No. The submission must be original, must not have been published in substantially the same form, and must not be simultaneously under review by another conference, journal, book, or publisher. 5. Registration Requirements

Because AED is a full-paper-only symposium, the paper must first enter the official evaluation process. Authors should follow the exact payment timing stated in their acceptance and registration instructions and should not make an unrequested payment. For an online paper presentation, one paper registration is normally sufficient regardless of the number of listed authors. At least one author must present the paper live. 6. Fees, Payment, Cancellation, and Technical Issues

This depends on the payment provider and the author’s bank. Where international card payments are supported, the bank or payment provider normally performs the currency conversion and may charge a conversion fee. Confirm the conditions before payment. 7. Online Presentations and Symposium Program

8. Acceptance Letters and Certificates
A provisional or conditional decision means that one or more requirements remain outstanding, such as revisions, template compliance, ethical documentation, registration, or presentation.
